X Rally Team dominates the RN 1500
The 21st edition of the RN 1500, one of Brazil’s most traditional Cross Countri rallies, have ended last Sunday after four days and a 800-km competition through dunes, rivers and gravel. And as it was in the first round of the season, the X Rally Ford Rangers were the highlights, this time with the duo Mauro Guedes/Filipe Bianchini taking the crown.
“An extremely difficult rally, in part due to the amount of rain that had fell the days before the start, in part by the tough competition we had with the other cars. We are extremely happy to have achieved this incredible result. Thanks to the team and the great car they gave us”, said Mauro Guedes, who won for the first time this year in his second outing with the X Rally Ford Ranger.
The São Paulo-based squad had two other Rangers in contention: Marcos Baumgart, who had Du Sachs as his co-driver this rally, had to walk out of the rally after trying to pass through a river that was much deeper than the duo predicted; Michel Terpins and Beco Andreotti had also a good run and lead the race until the final day, when Terpins rolled in a corner.
