Cristian and Beco climb three positions on day 4
406 kilometers were one of the challenges competitors faced today in the fourth stage of the Dakar. The first part of the marathon, where the teams cannot make any kind of intervention in the vehicles, took the competitors from Arequipa to Tacna in the SxS category.
Stage victory came to the russian duo of Sergei Kariakin and Anton Vlasiuk. Marcos Baumgart and Kleber Cincea came in seventh place with X Rally teammates Cristian Baumgart and Beco Andreotti right behind in eight.
In the overall classification, the 412 of Marcos and Kleber keeps the sixth position 1h12mins13secs off the leaders, while Cristian and Beco climbed three more positions, standing now 11th.
This Friday the competitors start the way back to Lima, stopping in Arequipa to finish the marathon stage with 450 kilometers against the clock, in a total of 714 in the fifth day of competition.
