An excellent day for X Rally Team in the Dakar
Day seven of competition in the Dakar brang excellent results for X Rally Team. After 323 kilometers through San Juan de Marcona, Marcos Baumgart/Kleber Cincea finished the day in fourth position, one ahead Cristian Baumgart/Beco Andreotti.
Today’s results mean the two duos have gone up more positions in the overall standings, as now Marcos and Kleber are sixth-placed, as Cristian and Beco had climbed to eight.
“It was a long day, a lot of sand, dunes. The idea was to be cautious in order not to have any problems, and that’s what has happened. The result was excellent, but we have another difficult day ahead”, says Marcos.
“Rocks, sand, rocks, sand, dunes... We only had one puncture today and got stuck once, but we got away pretty quickly. The team have done really well today and we will try to keep this way tomorrow and the other days to come”, Cristian told.
This Tuesday, the Dakar leaves San Juan de Marcona towards Pisco. The especial is 360-kilometers long, in a total of 575 kms.
