X Rally Team once again take the Golden Helmet
The 22nd edition of the Golden Helmet – the “Oscar” of Brazilian motorsport – was held last November 7th during the São Paulo Motor Show, and among the various categories with lots of drivers, one team got the spotlights on during the awards. The X Rally Team dominated the off-road category putting all the three duos amongst the nominees: Cristian Baumgart/Beco Andreotti, Sylvio de Barros/Rafael Capoani and Marcos Baumgart/Kleber Cincea.
The prize went to Cristian and Beco, who won the Sertões for the third time in a row with the NWM-Ford Ranger V8 4x4, a feat that no one had achieved so far in the history of the Sertões. It was the third time the duo got the majority of the votes from the motorsport journalists.
“It is a great closing to the 2018 season. When we started, 20 years ago, we had never imagined that one day we would be in this position, with a team like the one we manage to build together, and enjoying the status of a three-time Sertões winner”, says Cristian Baumgart.
